NW-7 (CODABAR)

One of the binary level
barcodes,
developed by Monarch Marking Inc., in 1972. Seven Black & White and Narrow
& Wide bars make up this bar code standard. Its name was derived from
its composition. It is also generally
called CODABAR.
NW-7 lends itself to easily printing serial numbers due to its
comparatively simple bar compositions, discrete
type,
relaxed gaps,
and son on.
We can choose
start and stop characters
from four alphabet characters: a, b, c, and d, and as a result, there
are
16
pattern
(4 x 4) combinations that indicate content data.
Checkdigit is not needed,
if it is used however, 7 (or 9) check is often used due to its ease of
serial number printing.
