Quiet Zone

Is the blank areas, or margins, before and after a bar code. It is necessary to have these quiet zones when reading a bar code otherwise the bar code cannot be recognized.

In the EAN Symbol, 11 modules are needed on the left side, and 7 modules are needed on the right side. In other symbols, 1-character width, or more, of quite zone is needed on both sides of the code.
