Scanner Input Support (keyboard wedge scanner or text file input)

Batch memory scanners offer a great extension to the AssetTrakker Pro program by allowing users to take advantage of the scanners batch memory capabilities. There are many of these types of scanners available in the market, including our own barcode scanners. That being said, all you need is a batch memory scanner that will allow you to upload scans to an input text window or one that will allow you to save the scans to a text file. That's it! The program takes care of the rest.

• Using a scanner, assets can be added in to the AssetTrakker Pro program quickly by scanning and uploading newly assigned asset numbers. Asset details can then be added to each asset before the data is accepted into the database. Similarily, existing assets can be edited quickly using the same approach.
• The scanner also provides users with a tool to accurately audit assets by scanning each physical asset and uploading the asset numbers into the software. Using a specialized (and fully customizable) audit input form, assets can be marked and timestamped for accuracy. Additional information can be assigned to the audit form such as location, auditor and so on.
